Among the reasons that MY LIFETIME BOOK would benefit a curriculum as an integrated course or an add-on are:

1. Increase authentic writing proficiency, making one’s language clearer, more precise.

2. Practice in creative writing and analytical skills significantly increase the preparedness of all middle school, high school, college and university students, advancing one's chances at getting into a school of his/her choice, and, later, better employment opportunities.

3.   Produces a personal portfolio of creative writing, an
autobiography, an invaluable asset.

4.   Encourages communication and understand of one's own beliefs and values, while providing a creative outlet for personal expression.

5.   Helps students to relive wonderful times through the process of thinking critically through the act of writing.

6.   Aids the writer in dealing with difficulties by guiding him/her in organizing one's thoughts clearly.

7.   Gives space for one to start a 'root system' for the life they are beginning, by making it possible to create an organized document of family legacy, hopes, dreams, goals, and values – the stuff that makes us tick.
